Letters and Sciences was selected by the President’s Commission on Ethnic Minority Issues to receive the 2016 Outstanding Non-Instructional Unit Service Minority Achievement Award. The award was presented in recognition of LTSC’s outstanding accomplishments and contributions, particularly in fostering an educational environment that is inclusive, rich in diversity and promotes the success of students working toward their degrees.
Letters and Sciences staff attended the award ceremony on Friday May 13th during which time Assistant Dean and Director of Letters and Sciences Dr. Deborah Bryant accepted the award on behalf of the office. Special mention went to Randall Phyall for his leadership, the LTSC Diversity Committee for their work, and to the entire LTSC staff for supporting the on-going strides toward incorporating diversity and inclusion into the advising experience for all students.
