The Letters and Sciences (LTSC) Business Exploration Series (BES) is a multi-dimensional advising resource that provides LTSC students with an opportunity to explore the world of business.
  • STEM Exploration Series: Interested in exploring STEM careers and STEM related majors? The Letters and Sciences (LTSC) STEM Exploration Series (SES) is a multi-dimensional advising resource that provides LTSC students with an opportunity to explore the world of STEM.
  • University Career Center & the President’s Promise: The University Career Center & The President’s Promise provides comprehensive career assistance for all students enrolled at the University of Maryland, College Park.  Designed to support students through each stage of their career development, the Center offers an array of resources, services and programs that empower students to pursue their ambitions and navigate a meaningful career journey.
  • U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Outlook Handbook: The Occupational Outlook Handbook can help you find career information on duties, education and training, pay and outlook for hundreds of occupations.
  • O*NET Resource Center: This resource center is a source of occupational information and it can be used to research career exploration tools, job analysis questionnaires, employer guides and other technical reports.
  • LTSC Major Guides: The LTSC major guides are intended to provide Letters and Sciences' students with basic and important information about top majors chosen by Letters and Sciences' students.
  • Minors & Certificates by Categories: Minors and certificates are a great way to complement your major and expand your knowledge within certain disciplines. Currently, the University of Maryland offers a total of 91 minors and undergraduate certificates.
  • Major & Career Exploration Presentation (coming soon): Do you have many interests but wondering how do they become a career? This presentation will have some resources for you.
  • Vault Career Guides: Full-length e-books on a large number of industries. (Access these guides through Careers4Terps . Log into Careers4Terps and click on Vault under the shortcuts menu in the top right. Once in Vault, simply click on Guides at the top.)
  • Terrapins Connect: This brand new tool allows students to connect with alumni willing to provide free career advice and mentoring. Students can search by major, industry and/or city to find alumni and then set up a video chat or phone conversation.
