SGA Representatives, Undergraduate Studies

"In order to make sure the voice of the student body is heard, members of the SGA reach out to their peers in class, campus events, and the office. The SGA implements legislation to remedy concerns and aid student groups with their missions and programming. Through efforts and outreach, the organization constantly works to improve our university." To learn more, visit the SGA Web page.

I’m excited to be representing Undergraduate Studies this year. Outside of SGA, I am a member of the Terp Thon Planning Team, and in the Carillon Living and Learning Community. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. Have questions, comments, or concerns? Email me at halle.lerner@gmail.com.

I'm thrilled to have the pleasure of being your representative! Outside of SGA, I am a student assistant in the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and a member of the Student Success Leadership council. Have questions, comments, or concerns? Email me at taylorgrn3@gmail.com.

UGST Dean's Advisory Board Representative

"The Undergraduate Studies Dean’s Advisory Board serves the college by representing the student voice during monthly meetings with the Dean. Students on the board act as liaisons with their departments, keeping the Dean aware of concerns, issues, and activities within the college, and discussing ideas for addressing issues or for improving the student experience."

Katie Embser
I am a sophomore here at the University of Maryland, soon to be a Marketing and Studio Art double major. I started off my Freshman year in Italy through the UMD Destination Rome program and currently am studying to minor in Italian. I am on the Design Skill Building Team for the American Marketing Association, a member of the Accounting and Business Association, National Society for Collegiate Scholars and am an aerial dancer on the Voudoux Aerial Dance Company. I am proud to serve as the UGST Dean’s Advisory Board representative and cannot wait to add a voice to the student body.
