Freshman Orientation Survey

To help you begin to answer this question, we will ask you to consider your academic interests and skills and to investigate the opportunities available at Maryland. We would like you to understand the distinction between the following two questions: What major will I choose? What career will I choose?

Remember, this is the beginning of your college career. We will advise you, but you must make your own decisions. The goals of this questionnaire are to:

    • help you learn about your interests and how these can be served at Maryland,
    • help you begin to develop some educational goals, and
    • allow you to tell us about yourself so that we can help you sort through your questions and concerns.

Please take the time to read through and respond to this questionnaire thoughtfully.
